"The Final Mile Fundraiser"
Glenorchy Trails Trust
The Glenorchy Trails Trust is creating a series of Head of the Lake trails to support the Shaping our Future master plan. The Trails Trust is focused on creating a recreational trail linking Queenstown and the Greenstone Valley via the head of the lake communities. They have now raised $67,000 for their first trail and need to raise the remaining $22,000. Will you help us in this final milestone?

Benefit Concert - Holly Arrowsmith
Holly Arrowsmith was raised in the mountains of Southern New Zealand, and is a strong forerunner in New Zealand’s current folk revivalist movement.
With sound comparisons drawn to Emmylou Harris, Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Gillian Welch, Holly delves into the earnest matters of life- wrapped in metaphors of nature and the soothing mountain landscapes that raised her.
At just 27 years old, Arrowsmith has toured both hemispheres with her powerful solo performance, and is known for her wry sense of humour and authentic stage presence.
‘Spare, subtle, approachable and utterly beautiful, anchored by a voice that pulls you close and cancels the noise outside.’
-Stephen Thompson- NPR MUSIC
'There's a trio of female singers who come to mind while listening to A Dawn to Remember: think early Joan Baez or the superstar voices of Joni Mitchell and Emmy Lou Harris.'

About the Glenorchy Trails Trust
Trust Mission and Vision
To build walking and cycling trails within and between the communities at the head of the lake to separate riders/walkers from roads for safety, enjoyment, & health of the community as well as visitors to the area. Implementation of the missing link in the Te Araroa Trail between Queenstown & Greenstone valley via Glenorchy & Kinloch. To build separate single-track mountain bike trails for community use.
Current Project
Stage 1: Build a 1km shared walk/run/cycle trail that will provide a link from the township of Glenorchy to Campbelltown, close the Buckler Burn Bridge, at the entry of Glenorchy town.
Stage 2: Stage one will become part of a larger loop that will include a new bridge to create access to the Whakaari Conservation area car park.
Stage 3: The trails continues and access the existing underutilised community recreational property on the adjacent Peninsula Reserve. The Peninsula Reserve is a beautiful property owned by Council, that is available for walking, biking, and horse riding.
Once completed, this trail project will create a beautiful loop trail for walking, biking, and horse riding.

Our Reviews
This is an amazing venue for a wedding, it really suited the casual vibe that we were after. The fact that our guests were able to stay in the amazing accommodation with us and have the use of their facilities solely meant we got to enjoy two full days surrounded by friends and family.
