How we're keeping you safe

Although the COVID-19 situation in New Zealand is currently under control, we would like to assure you that we are doing everything to keep you safe during your stay with us. Here is the list of safety measures we're taking.

Cleaning and Safety Precautions:

Our cabins and bunkrooms and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests and all bedding is changed

All linens are sanitized in high-temperature wash

Our team is regularly sanitizing high-traffic areas using a hydrogen peroxide solution

We close our amenities building and kitchen for deep cleaning for an hour each day after guests have checked out

Hand sanitizer is available to guests and staff throughout Camp Glenorchy

If any of our team members do become unwell they are required to stay at home

Our team members are required to regularly wash hands and observe social distancing practices

We advise our guests to regularly wash their hands with soap

We do not accept bookings for self-isolation as we are not a managed isolation facility

Can I self-isolate at Camp Glenorchy?

As our facilities are a shared communal space, we are unable to accept any guest bookings requesting to self-isolate with us.
Our primary concern is the health, safety and well-being of our guests and team.
This may require us to refuse bookings at any stage.

 

What happens if I become sick during my stay at Camp Glenorchy?

If you become ill or feel unwell at any stage of your stay, you are required to notify a member of our staff, as soon as possible. You are also obliged to notify Healthline.
Evidently, you will no longer have access to any of our facilities or communal areas, as this could put other guests and our staff members at risk of contracting the virus.

This may lead to you self-isolating with us, if you chose to do so please note, that you will be restricted to either your own self-contained campervan or private ensuite room only throughout the duration of your quarantine; all of which will incur an additional cost, to be covered by you.

The additional costs that will incur during this period are (including but not exclusive to):
• Appropriate isolated accommodation configuration
• Food costs
• Extra cleaning to disinfect the room(s) occupied

 

Am I able to get a refund if I can't make it?

You will be subject to our Cancellation Policy:

Standard rate: Cancellation within 48 hours of your arrival date would forfeit your deposit. If no-show, you will forfeit the total cost of accommodation. Cancellation prior to 48 hours of your arrival date will be fully refunded.

Non-refundable rate: Cancellation at any time will forfeit the total cost of accommodation. Should you need to change your stay dates, please let us know. We'll endeavour to help you book for another date. Please note this will be subject to availability. Extra fees may apply.
