There is nothing like sitting back enjoying toasted marshmallows by the fire! Our new winter escape package has been designed for the New Zealand winter. We have created a holiday package where you can discover the stunning scenery in Glenorchy, enjoy tasty wholesome food and  relax with a good book or an in-house massage.  


This escape is ideal for couples or a few friends who are looking for something special. Enjoy 2 nights in our beautiful eco cabins and take part in one of the many activities from around the local area. The escape gives you plenty of time to be active, to relax and also to appreciate the stunning location that surrounds you.




Our 2-night, 2 person Winter Glenorchy Escape Queenstown includes:


2 nights’ accommodation in our Sustainable Eco Cabin Bedroom with your private ensuite
Continental, homemade breakfast buffet every morning served with fresh yoghurt, breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit and our famous Mrs Woolly's chef-made granolas! (includes GF options)
A delicious cheeseboard upon arrival with mouth-watering inclusions such as Windsor blue, brie, tasty Totara cheeses, salami, chutneys, seed crackers, walnuts, dried fruit, grapes and more.

Check in at Camp Glenorchy

Walk the Lagoon Walkway & see the famous Glenorchy red shed

Enjoy the Cheese platter & glass of wine in the Homestead

Heat your delicious dinner prepared by our in-house chefs 

Grab a blanket and experience the awe of the clear & crisp Glenorchy night sky by star gazing under the Scheelite Shelter outdoor fire place

Day 2

Enjoy a homemade complimentary breakfast buffet

Grab some lunch from Mrs Woolly's General Store and head out on a local hike or hire a bike from the store

Discover the natural beauty and stunning scenery that surrounds Glenorchy

Return for the inspiring arts and sustainability tour

Head out to one of the local pubs or restaurants for dinner or cook a meal in the kitchen at Camp Glenorchy

Day 3

Enjoy a complimentary breakfast buffet

Book a local excursion such as the snowshoe experience, Ski Cadrona or explore Paradise on horse back with a local guide

Return for your complementary 1 hour relaxation massage

Heat your 2nd prepared dinner and enjoy watching the sunset over the mountains


Day 4

Take part in a in-house yoga class

Enjoy another delicious homemade breakfast

One day helicopter and snowshoeing experience


This breathtaking experience is definitely one to tick off the bucket list! Start your day with an exhilarating helicopter ride from the Glenorchy Airstrip to the landing pad at 1880m high up on Mt Larkins. Your expert guide will make you feel comfortable in the mountain before taking you on a snowshoe circuit over the stunning terrain which showcases amazing views.

There will be time to refuel with a light lunch at Kelly's Hut, where you will have time to soak in the experience. Before the sun goes down the helicopter will arrive to pick you up for the equally exciting return flight to the valley floor.

The trip duration is approximately 4-5 hours, so there will be plenty of time for amazing pictures and even a few snowballs!

One day skiing or snowboarding up at Coronet Peak


Coronet Peak is one of Queenstown's best local ski areas offering a huge variety of terrain with epic views over the Wakatipu Basin. The slope is open to all abilities, from first-timers to experienced skiers and boarders.


Simply add this to your stay and we will arrange a day lift pass and equipment hire for you. All you need to do is drive up the mountain on your preferred day. Transportation can be arranged at an extra cost.
